Much like the "P" series, the discontinued Zenith DPDP40V has many of the same features as its cousin but has slightly less compatibility. You can still find this discontinued product at several sites.
The first generation of Zenith plasma TVs used basically the same plasma technology as their "P" series replacements. A 40" DPDP40V plasma display projects an amazing 16.77 million colors across a stunning 640 x 480 resolution screen, with 500:1 contrast ratio, that intensifies the gravity free feeling you'll have when you gaze at the slim silhouette mounted on your wall. Peak Luminance Enhancement brightens the star in any night sky and the strawberry in any patch with amazing brightness to give you a real-life sense of imagery. The only controllable feature on this model is the sleep timer.
Compatible with both PC and HD signals, this display serves many purposes in any home. Signals are received in the following ways: VGA, SVGA, HD, and NTSC.
Dolby Digital sound with auto sound capabilities for News, Cinema, Music, and Sports emanates through two balance controlled, optional 10 Watt speakers.
