Be the envy of everyone with the Sony XBR plasma series, powered by the WEGA engine. The KE42XBR900 uses the most advanced plasma TV technology designed to bring its viewers picture quality that is second to none. This is definitely a system for the home theatre enthusiast.

The KE42XBR900 brilliantly exhibits high definition pictures on a 1280 x 768 resolution screen that is eloquently projected through a floating glass panel display. The WEGA technology works by maximizing performance through reduction of the number of digital-to-analog conversion processes.

Unique to the XBR series, this system boasts a Media Receiver Unit that makes set up and use easy. A DVI-HDTV connection delivers high bandwidth digital content that keeps movie and TV pictures clear and sharp. Other compatible connections include: CATV, UHF, VHF, 480i, 480p, 1080i, and 720p.

Also included with this system is a Memory Stick media slot and Sony digital and camcorder compatibility. No matter which feature you decide to use, you'll be turning the family photo album/movie into a museum quality art display in seconds.

Listening will take on a whole new meaning when you turn on the XBR series built-in stereo speakers projecting 40 Watts of TruSurround Sound. Control your sound or customize it with the Steady Sound Auto Volume Control function that comes with this system.

Other viewing features include: color temperature adjustment, auto wide/wide screen modes, auto channel programming, caption vision, CineMotion 3:2 pulldown, favorite channel preview, clock timer, sleep timer, V-Chip parental control, and a scalable Twin View feature that allows you to watch two programs from different sources on the same screen.
