The Panasonic PT-42PHD4-P, like it's brother; (the
PT-42PD-P), is widely considered to be the best Plasma TV
in its range. The only difference between the two is the PT-42PHD4-P
has a resolution of 1024 x 768 and the PT-42PD3-P
has a resolution of 853 x 480 (which means, of course, the PT-42PD3-P
is quite a bit cheaper).
A plasma TV's biggest challenge is reproducing black; the Panasonic
PT-42PHD4-P has the best black-level performance of any plasma
TV we've seen. Along with superb black reproduction, Panasonic's
color decoding is excellent, with little or no visible red push;
the result was beautiful, deep, richly saturated color.
Overall, Panasonic's PT-42PHD4-P 42-inch, with it's unmatched
black-level performance, great video processing with 3:2 pull-down,
and excellent color decoding make it the best in the 42 inch series.
Worth Mentioning: The PT-42PHD4-P has
a commercial version, the PH-42PHD5UY.
Differences between the Panasonic TH-42PHD5UY

purchase with the TH-42PHD5UY.
