The Panasonic PT-42PD3-P is by far the most popular plasma TV
amongst consumers, and is widely considered to be the best overall
Plasma TV in its range.
A plasma TV's biggest challenge is reproducing black; the Panasonic
PT-42PD3-P has the best black-level performance of any plasma
TV we've seen. Along with superb black reproduction, Panasonic's
color decoding is excellent, with little or no visible red push;
the result was beautiful, deep, richly saturated color.
The only drawbacks to the PT-42PD3-P (if there are any) would
be that it does exhibit quite a bit of edge enhancement (very
sharp image edges). It could also use a few more connectivity
inputs.
Overall, Panasonic's PT-42PD3-P 42-inch, with it's unmatched
black-level performance, great video processing with 3:2 pull-down,
and excellent color decoding make it the best in the 42 inch series.

purchase with the TH-42PWD5UY.
- The PT-42PD3-P is generally sold at home theater stores
